传记不传记历史不历史喜剧不喜剧的，“professional soldiers are trained to die”也没见有什么探讨和反思，主旋律先行让我看困了。

爱尔兰精神和传统太可爱太好笑了XD 其他就比较平庸主旋律，虽然也不难看（结尾还是有被煽到）。感觉泰隆·鲍华有点miscast了。又见Robert Francis.
典型的福特，像是西点军校版的一将功成万骨枯。你可以说福特的电影有多主旋律，但是他电影里关于集体，荣誉，家庭那些传统价值观现在看来是难能可贵的。他的构图无疑是所有经典好莱坞电影里最好的，写人也是最佳之一，还有就是所有歌舞场景，拍的极为考究。
50年的西点军校生涯，这题材确实适合福特这种民谣式流水账，有些戏有笑点，有些又有些感人，但整体记忆点不多
