Plot Summary:Another adventure of little Dorothy and her parrot Koko. Autumn has come and Dorothy goes out to fly a kite at a meadow near her house, but the wind is too strong and the kite breaks loose and disappears over a forest. Desperate to get it back, Dorothy tries to take off and fly, but, expectedly, fails. Koko, observing the entire situation from a windowsill, is thoroughly amused by Dorothy's futile attempts, but as she breaks into tears, he decides to help her and assumes the role of flying instructor. This proves successful as Dorothy quickly masters the right technique and soon we see her circling happily above the meadow, but then she abruptly leaves to look for the kite, much to the dismay of Koko, who has no choice but to set off after her. Away in the sky, Dorothy lands on a cloud to rest for a while, and is taken to some strange heavenly hangars, where she finds a throng of lost kites, including her own. She wants to catch it, but is quickly surrounded by numerous flying toys from the hangars (airplanes, helicopters, dirigibles, paper swallows and even saucers), apparently wanting to be returned to their owners. She eventually manages to get rid of them just in time to see her kite vanishing in the sky again. Finally, the pursuit ends when the kite gets stuck at a church tower, but Dorothy is unable to free its tangled cord and is then surprised by a furious storm. Again, Koko comes to help through heavy rain, having finally found her. He orders Dorothy to fly home and then frees the kite himself by simply ripping it of from he cord with his beak. The final scene shows Dorothy playing with the kite again (now flying along with it thanks to her new ability), but this time under chary supervision of Koko, who, just to be sure, ties her to a long rope.
