Plot Summary:A bold study on the dangers of prostitution in the Soviet Union in the 1920s. It's sort of dramatic fiction that tells the story of Lyuba, which after irremediable events, loses her honor, being obliged to exercise the oldest profession in the world to survive. She hopes for better days and a new opportunity. The film also shows us the story of two other women who also need hope.

中間“對妓女危害性”的宣傳削弱了電影的藝術性。比起所謂的“Socialism-Realism”，本片的寫實風格不僅彰顯了人性，而且擺脫了人設的虛偽和克制。PS：居然內嵌了民國味十足的中文字幕。柳芭譯成了“綠波”，瓦西裡譯成了“萬西里”，很是詩意。
