蒙城电影节，主题上和狐步舞一样，都是由经历过战争的父亲用自己的傲慢去压迫家人，造成的家庭悲剧，虽然全程都是以女儿的视角展开，但是本质上还是男性主义影片，通过女性的角色的成长反映并完成了男性的救赎。父女的对抗但本质上一致的关系在影片开头通过几个平行剪辑就已经铺垫好，也就有了最后父女双双解脱的催人泪下。但这并不意味真正意义上女性角色的缺失，母亲刚柔并济便是一例。强大的表演夺目，女儿的表演让人想到文淇(但法令纹已经出卖一切)，爆发力十足，但是情绪的起承转合还是仰仗正反打去完成。枪支作为父权符号似乎被摆放得有些多余，但是在小男孩家的拿把枪支明确地指向男性的傲慢是战争对家庭的二次伤害，而问答环节主创明确了一点，以色列电影对战争的反思已经从直接的记录到了探讨二次伤害的阶段。
