暂无简介Plot Summary:Charlie talks wealthy farmer's daughter Tillie into eloping with him (and taking her father's money). In the city Tillie gets drunk and lands in jail while Charlie runs off with her money and his old girlfriend Mabel. Later Charlie reads that Tillie (now working as a waitress) has inherited the estate of her multi-millionaire uncle. Charlie dumps Mabel and talks Tillie into moving into her uncle's villa, and Mabel arranges to become a housemaid there. The uncle (never really dead) returns and summons the police to have them all thrown out.

卓别林第一部长片
Marie Dressler这种大号大妈卖萌而且表情极度夸张实在接受不了真的很糟的喜剧姿态 相比之下Mabel已经好多了 出现了影中影与现实的互涉 作为一部喜剧长片其实只是把各种短片用字幕卡穿在一起，以至于字幕卡有点太多了
場切換多，但每個景大概就一個take，基本上不動，也沒cut in，主要藉由中遠景展現眼神和肢體喜感（超多後踢腿）。鏡頭size大多相近、長度舒緩，但末段追逐顯著加速、景別變化大，可能是受Griffith影響。觀看電影段落的彆扭銜接。Marie Dressler、Mabel Normand其實比當時的Chaplin（非流浪漢）大牌。
结尾有些宣扬女权思想，胖女人还真会折腾。
